These personal observations served as good reminders of the impact Nebraska banks have played inmy own life and the growth of my family. I vividly remember the daymy wife and I closed on our very first home purchase in York. This was truly a big day for a young couple moving to a new town—little did we know the work it was going to take to remodel that house into our home. Likewise, I recall opening my children’s first checking accounts and the accompanying sense of maturity each of them felt receiving their first debit card in the mail. I suspect if we each take a few minutes to reflect on the important turning points in our lives, a bank was likely involved in helping us achieve our goals. As the New Year begins in earnest, I encourage you to take a break from your daily tasks at the bank and spend a few minutes to reflect on the important role your institution plays in turning dreams into reality! 
