Bankers hope to move away from one- size-fits-all regulation by ensuring that individuals with banking expertise and diverse experience are appointed to regulatory leadership positions. The Trump admin- istration is working quickly to fill open positions at the regulatory agencies, particularly those directly under the control of the president. “We’ve got a great banking system with lots of com- munity banks. We’re the envy of the world because of our system, [but] we’re regulating it away,” Andersen said. Andersen and the banking industry hold hope that once new regulators step in, the regulatory relief for banks that has been discussed for so long will become reality. Andersen began her career with a passion for banking, and has since used that passion to advocate for dynamic changes within the industry. Imagine what we could accomplish if all bankers fully expressed their passion for the industry. Together, we can move the needle and drive this economy forward. 
