Baier at (402) 474-1555 or richard.baier@nebankers.org. • University of Nebraska Lincoln - $35,000 to complete the NBA’s commitment to the newUNL College of Business, Howard L. Hawks Hall. - $11,000 in scholarships to students within the College of Business. - $10,000 in support of NBA Faculty Fellows within the College of Business. - $75,000 to support scholarships and the Ag Intern Program based within the College of Agricultural Finance/East Campus. • University of Nebraska Medical Center - $23,319 to assist in the purchase of new equipment used in training the next generation of medical per- sonnel in the state of Nebraska. It is especially rewarding each year to meet our many schol- arship recipients and to witness firsthand the impact the NBA’s investment has made on our Nebraska students and institutions. Through this program, many member banks have also had the opportunity to benefit from the UNL Agriculture Banking and Finance internship program which is a primary element of the University of Nebraska relationship. However, to maintain and maximize the impact of these programs, we need your help! Both the NBEF and UFAC are always looking for banker volunteers to sit on the respective committees which direct the activities of these two important programs. Secondly, as costs of higher education continue to increase, it is vitally important that the NBA continue to grow the principle amounts of these two philanthropic programs. If you or your institution would like to make a charitable contribution to either the NBEF or UFAC, please feel free to reach out to me or Sarah Sasse-Kildow who assists with NBA scholarship program administration. Finally, we need your input on how we may improve the reach and depth of our scholarship programs and workforce outreach efforts. If you have ideas or suggestions, I encourage you to share those with your NBA staff. Until next month, thank you for continuing to support and finance the dreams of your fellow Nebraskans.
