As a longtime member of the Federal Reserve Bank of Kansas City, I was very familiar with the important role that the Bank plays in our industry. Banker support and involvement in Nebraska has become the norm. Com- munity participation, relationships and economic development remain among the pillars of value that Nebraska bankers strive to provide. The NBA and our 174-member financial institutions are fortunate to have so many bankers willing to take time to bet- ter their communities and the banking industry. We are also blessed to have bankers represent Nebraska on regional and national levels.
