WWW.NEBANKERS.ORG 8 other issues important toNebraska bankers. The NBAwill weigh in on these issues with formal input and comments. Additionally, I strongly encourage you to engage the appropriate staffmembers in your institution and submit comments directly fromyour bank to the issuing regulatory agency. During FDIC Chairman Jelena McWilliams' recent comments at the NBA’s Regulatory Summit, she specifically asked bankers in attendance to provide individual input and comments on proposed regulatory changes. More spe- cifically, she also asked for case studies and examples of how any newly proposed regulations will impact bank customers and the efficient operation of Nebraska banks. Thanks to the many NBA members who provide time, resources, and expertise to assist in crafting both bank legisla- tion and regulatory changes like those noted above. Your input is invaluable! We must remain engaged in this process. As we know all too well, if you want to be in the business of banking, banks also need to be in the business of politics and policy!  Contact Richard J.
