Krejci NBA Past Chairman (402) 438-5858 First State Bank, Lincoln NBA Embarks on Strategic Planning Process George Beattie, President & CEO, Nebraska Bankers Association A S YOU KNOW, THE NEBRASKA BANKERS ASSOCIATION has embarked on a process to fully assess the as- sociation’s strategies and offerings in the context of our membership’s wants and needs. The project began in January with a survey of our mem- bership in which many of you participated. The survey was followed by a leadership summit in February inwhich a group of about 50 bankers delved into the information our mem- bership provided. Finally, a steering committee of bankers will develop recommendations that will be presented to our board of directors at the July meeting. This type of internal assessment is always healthy for an organization. Evaluating all aspects of a business helps ensure efficiency in the delivery of products and services to its clients. In our case, asking you, our members, for input will help align our mission and goals with your wants and needs. The result will be a stronger association that’s better positioned to serve our diverse membership. Thanks to each of youwho have participated in this impor- tant process. We look forward to formalizing and articulat- ing the results of the NBA’s strategic initiatives project with the membership during this year’s Statewide Networking Forums in August. In the meantime, please feel free to contact me with your questions, concerns, or thoughts. Z ReachGeorge Beattie at (402) 474-1555 or george.beattie@nebankers.org . PRESIDENT’S MESSAGE
