Pay It Forward Volunteer Your Time to Support Business Education N EBRASKA BANKERS HAVE BEEN HELPING NEBRASKA students continue their education since the early 1970s through various scholarship and internship programs. The goal: better-educated, better- prepared young people who are ready to begin their careers within the Nebraska financial services industry. Now, the Nebraska Bankers Association is offering an- other opportunity for you to make a positive impact in the lives of Nebraska students: the Executive Advisory Network (ExecNet), sponsored by the MBA Research & Curriculum Center, a not-for-profit organization of state education departments. ExecNet’s purpose is to assist in providing industry-validated standards and curriculumso that business curriculum nationwide will be responsive to the needs of the business community. ExecNet is recruiting business and banking professionals who value working with education for the betterment of the future workforce. ExecNet is asking NBA members to “pay it forward” and make a difference in what is taught in high school business courses across the country. To participate, all you need to do is take a monthly, online business-skills survey from the comfort of your home or of- fice. Each survey requires approximately 15 minutes of your time.
