www.nebankers.org 32 Extraordinary Service for Extraordinary Members. Why am I telling you this? Banking has had a lot of nega- tive publicity since the financial crisis of 2008. By establishing a fund like Alice’s Integrity Loan Fund, not only will you be adding jobs and opportunities within your community but you also will be creating goodwill and positive PR for our industry. Loans through Alice’s Integrity Loan Fund are only avail- able for residents of Lincoln and Lancaster County. The fund does not loan to repay past borrowing. These loans are small enough that they are not objectionable to examiners. Please read the letter below fromNancy Bidrowski, a loan recipient in the financial services industry who has permitted me to share her words, and let me know if you would consider this in YOUR hometown on a small scale of one to five loans. She has made herself more effective and created another job. Recipients like Bidrowski are proud to acknowledge they qualified for an INTEGRITY loan. “Revenue is up 18 percent from 2012 to 2013. Expenses have remained flat. I am focused on creating and growing sustainable income streams, rather than transactional in- come. This serves to maintain an evenness to the current income stream. “The loan from Alice’s Integrity Loan Fund helped me to pay my administrative assistant. She: • greets clients, • answers the phone, • keeps the files organized, • creates mailings, • maintains the client database, • maintains the logs required by our regulators, • and so much more! “I think we are getting our money’s worth, don’t you? Her efforts allowme to usemy time to grow the business and serve our existing customers.” At least two or three bankers toldme during last year’s NBA Annual Convention inMay that they had done a loan like this in their home towns. Today, I challenge each of you to “take a chance” on an old-fashioned virtue called INTEGRITY and offer a similar loan in your community.  If you would like to visit with Alice Dittman about making integrity loans in your community, please call Cornhusker Bank at (402) 434-2265 and leave your name and phone number. Alice will be happy to return your call and give you additional information.
