However, legis- lative term limits have made, and will continue to make, our work more challenging. This year, for example, Nebraska voters will elect 17 new state senators. In two years, we will elect another 19 new senators. At the beginning of the 2017 legislative session, 36 of our 49 state senators will have two years of experience or less. Our lobbying team, as you can imagine, will have to spend a significantly greater amount of time educating new senators on the basics of our industry. While our team does an outstanding job, we need your help. We encourage you to help identify, recruit, and engage pro-banking and pro-business candidates in your legisla- tive district. Also, we encourage you to support employees, family members, and friends who are interested in seeking elected office. Your contributions to the NBA BankPAC and your personal commitment to pro-business candidates will, in the long-term, help to ensure a stronger industry and an even better Nebraska for the next generation!   President’s Message — continued from page 7
