July | August 2014 9 Extraordinary Service for Extraordinary Members. intern position will specifically focus on communications and social media. NBISCO Executive Vice President Steve McK- elvey, NBISCO Senior Vice President Scott Yank, and NBA General Counsel Bob Hallstrom will maintain their current responsibilities and will report directly to me. During our transition phase, George will continue to actively mentor me and also will work directly with the NBA Board of Directors to coordinate the analysis of a possible NBA Group realignment as well as a comprehensive dues review. Karen will actively coach and mentor Ron and Joni to ensure a transition free of major problems. In addition, Karen will lead several special projects and initiate prepara- tion of the 2015-2016 NBA budget process. The NBA executive leadership teamhas spent a great deal of time and energy planning for this transition. We recognize that no major transition and staff restructuring comes with- out challenges. However, we believe this plan will allow your association to continue providing extraordinary service to you, our extraordinary members, with an eye to the growth and evolution of our industry. Should you have any questions about this staff restructuring or our leadership transition ef- forts, please feel free to reach me at 402-474-1555, richard.baier@nebankers.org, or in person.  Email Frank Keating at keating@aba.com. © 2014 American Bankers Association. That’s why we’ve been asking bankers like you to send letters, call, and meet with House members to share the real-world impact of these bills and describe how they would help your bank and the customers in your communities. A strong vote by the House can influence whether the Sen- ate takes up the legislation. And action on these bills would bode well for future, rifle-shot relief measures. Help us help your bank by responding to any grassroots action alerts you receive. Encourage your employees, direc- tors, and peers to do the same. (You’ll find tools to easily generate letters on these bills at aba.com/grassroots. ) ABA and your state association have been strong advo- cates, and our unified efforts helped get the bills this far. Your engagement can help get them across the finish line.  Koley Jessen PC, LLO 1125 South 103rd Street Omaha, NE 68124 koleyjessen .com COMMERCIAL LOANS - TIF/BOND FINANCING DIP FINANCING - BANKRUPTCY/CREDITORS’ RIGHTS REGULATORY COMPLIANCE - GENERAL CORPORATE Marlon Lofgren & Matt Speiker
